Make Your Tracking Privacy-Compliant
GDPR, CCPA, and Google Consent Mode V2 require that your tracking respects user choices. Most setups have gaps: tags firing before consent, trackers loading outside GTM, consent signals never reaching Google Ads. We find and fix all of it.
What We Do
- Full cookie and tracker audit (HAR-level network analysis)
- Google Consent Mode V2 implementation for all Google services
- Cookie banner setup and CMP configuration
- GTM consent gating for all tags (marketing, analytics, personalization)
- HubSpot consent mode setup
- Third-party script categorization and consent mapping
- Verification report with before/after network evidence
CMP Solutions We Work With
We implement and configure the consent management platform that fits your stack and compliance needs:
- CookieBeam – lightweight, developer-friendly CMP with built-in Google Consent Mode V2 support and GTM integration. Great for teams that want granular control without bloat.
- Osano – enterprise-grade consent management with automatic cookie discovery
- Transcend – privacy-first platform with data mapping and DSR automation
- Complianz – WordPress-native solution with region-based consent rules
- Cookiebot (Usercentrics) – widely adopted CMP with automatic scanner and TCF 2.2 support
- OneTrust – enterprise consent and preference management
Consent Mode V2: Why It Matters
Since March 2024, Google requires Consent Mode V2 for any site using Google Ads or GA4 in the EEA. Without it, you lose conversion data, audience signals, and remarketing capabilities. Our implementation covers:
- Default consent state set correctly before any tags fire
- Consent signals passed to Google Ads, GA4, and Floodlight
- Behavioral modeling enabled for consented vs. unconsented users
- Banner interactions updating consent state in real-time
- All third-party scripts gated behind the correct consent categories
Cookie Banner Setup
A compliant cookie banner needs more than a popup. We configure:
- Granular consent categories (Essential, Analytics, Marketing, Preferences)
- Region-specific display rules (show in EU, skip where not required)
- Accept/Reject/Customize options with accessible UI
- Consent storage and proof-of-consent logging
- Banner styling matched to your brand
- A/B testing consent copy for optimal accept rates

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Consent Mode V2?
If you use Google Ads or GA4 and have visitors from the EEA or UK, yes. Without it, Google stops processing conversion data from those regions. That means less data for Smart Bidding and audience targeting.
Will implementing consent reduce my tracked conversions?
You’ll see fewer directly observed conversions, but Google’s behavioral modeling fills the gap. Most clients see 70-85% data recovery through modeled conversions after proper Consent Mode V2 setup.
Which CMP should I use?
Depends on your stack. For WordPress, Complianz or CookieBeam work well. For custom sites with GTM-heavy setups, CookieBeam or Cookiebot integrate cleanly. For enterprise with multiple domains, Osano or OneTrust scale better. We recommend the right fit during the audit.
How long does implementation take?
A consent audit takes 2-3 business days. Full implementation including CMP setup, GTM consent gating, and verification takes 5-10 business days depending on the number of tags and complexity.
